About the Course
The PCQI 2.0 (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) Training is an updated, interactive program designed to meet FDA’s requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to develop, implement, and maintain an effective food safety plan based on hazard analysis and risk-based preventive controls.
Building on the original FSPCA curriculum, PCQI 2.0 integrates real-world case studies, current regulatory updates, and practical tools to ensure participants are fully prepared to lead food safety programs in modern processing environments.
About the Instructors

Former FDA Import Specialist with the Division of West Coast Imports (DWCI), conducting over 150 FSVP and VQIP inspections. Served as an FDA trainer, FSVP Cadre member, and Subject Matter Expert for the FDA Imports Certification Exam. As an FSPCA Lead Instructor for Preventive Controls and FSVP, he brings firsthand FDA regulatory experience in preventive controls, supplier verification, traceability, recall readiness, and food safety compliance, providing practical insights into FDA expectations and inspection readiness.
Andrea Griffiths - Owner of Griffiths Compliance Solutions
Andrea N. Griffiths, MLS, PCQI. Previous roles include Lead Auditor and Retail Auditor at NSF International, where Andrea trained auditors and ensured compliance with food safety standards. Earlier experience includes positions as Food Safety & QA Manager as well as an HR & Compliance Manager. Academic credentials encompass a Master of Jurisprudence in Legal Studies from Texas A&M University School of Law, along with multiple certifications in Business Law, Compliance, Risk Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Technology Management.
